37 Gallon Reef Tank

Established February 2004

Tank was previously a fish only tank.
The live rock from the 10 gallon Clown fish tank was transferred to this tank.
30 gallon reef janitors was ordered from GARF
New lighting and filtration was added

Purchased a red rose anemone from Global for $70 and a Fire shrimp for $25 [2/28/2004]
Purchased a finger leather coral from Global for $70 [3/5/2004]
Purchased a sm box fish from Aquatic Center for $20 and a red montipora frag for $15 [3/14/2004]
Purchased a blue frag and a mandarin goby for $50 from Global [3/14/2004]
Coral and Marlin started playing in their rose Anemone! [3/14/2004]
Things are doing great! [3/17/2004]
I bought a large red sponge from Aquatic Center for $20 [3/18/2004]

Ok, the blue frag died on me. The rose anemone is getting HUGE! I a few weeks ago I bought a HUGE red sponge from Aquatic center for $20. The box fish is doing great in the 65 gal. [4/10/04]
He just keeps growing!
Got a blue tang from Aquatic Center for $40 and a rock with green and orange Zoos from City Pets for $50 [4/24/04]
I bought a rock with two large zenias and a bubble anemone from aquatic center for $39 last week and a nice branching hammor the previous week. Today I got a elegance coral from City Pets for $39. Everything is doing well with the exception of the green branching leather. [6/12/04]
I got a really cool red donut from City Pets for $99.

Well things are not doing good in this tank right now. The elegance coral died and the hammer coral got torn up a powerhead when I was gone one weekend and I removed the red sponge (this was well over a month ago). Red slime and green hair algae are all over the place. I used slime away several weeks ago It worked OK but it is back. The Xenias and the red donut have been moved to my 20 gallon tank and are doing great. The xenia is about 4 times larger now! To try help things out I removed the two biowheels from the 400 today. The three fish are doing OK though. [12-28-04].
Well, I broke the tank down and put almost everything into my 60 gallon tank. [1-2-05]
