Got Frogs?

awesome PDFs from the following breeders:

David
Doyle
Phil Tan

I use power compact fluorescents (PCF) on all of
my tanks. A very inexpensive source of electronic ballasts capable of powering
28 watt PCF tubes are the circular fluorescent bulb and adapter (model 2630) made by Lights of America. They
are sold at Wal-Mart and other stores for under $10. Simply discard the
circular bulb and attach a 28 watt PCF that has a square pin configuration.
-
I have also used professionally made PCF light
strips. They are more expensive (>$55) but look nice.
-
Any full spectrum light source can be used, just
ensure that too much heat is not produced, ie don't use incandescents.
Updates:
-
Well, one of the two blue darts that I bought from died a
few weeks ago and all of the other small blue PDFs escaped from their tank and
died. The three luecs are doing great and one of their babies is doing really
well (after having many retarted babies) 11-26-05
-
We have moved into our new house. I only have one of the
blue PDFs from David, two leucs from LLL, and their baby. I pan on moving them
into a 65 gallon soon. 03-12-05
-
I have two breeding groups of Azuras one of which is
producing lots of baby frogs. 10-24-11
